Mahindra XUV 3XO Prices Increase in India

Mahindra has announced a price hike for the XUV 3XO SUV, effective from October 6, 2024. The increase, which affects select variants, reaches up to Rs. 30,000.

The price hike applies to several popular models, including the MX1 and AX5 petrol variants, which will see an increase of Rs. 30,000. Other variants, such as the MX2 Pro, MX3, and AX5L petrol models, will experience a Rs. 25,000 increase. Diesel variants like the MX2 Pro, MX3, and AX5 will see an additional cost of Rs. 10,000.

Here’s a breakdown of the revised prices:

  • MX1 (Petrol): Rs. 9,30,000 (up by Rs. 30,000)
  • AX5 (Petrol): Rs. 9,30,000 (up by Rs. 30,000)
  • MX2 Pro (Petrol): Rs. 9,25,000 (up by Rs. 25,000)
  • MX3 (Petrol): Rs. 9,25,000 (up by Rs. 25,000)
  • AX5L (Petrol): Rs. 9,25,000 (up by Rs. 25,000)
  • MX2 Pro (Diesel): Rs. 9,10,000 (up by Rs. 10,000)
  • MX3 (Diesel): Rs. 9,10,000 (up by Rs. 10,000)
  • AX5 (Diesel): Rs. 9,10,000 (up by Rs. 10,000)

Launched in April 2024 with a starting price of Rs. 7.49 lakh, the XUV 3XO now positions itself competitively against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Engine Options and Features

The XUV 3XO is available with three engine options:

  • 1.2-liter Turbo-Petrol: 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
  • TGDi Turbo-Petrol: 129 bhp and 230 Nm of torque, also offered with a 6-speed manual or automatic.
  • 1.5-liter Diesel: 115 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT.

Additionally, Mahindra is expected to introduce an electrified version of the XUV 3XO by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Market Position

Currently, Mahindra ranks as the third-largest automaker in India, surpassing Tata Motors in September 2024 sales figures. The rise in popularity of models like the XUV 3XO, known for its advanced features and competitive pricing, has significantly contributed to this success.

With this recent price adjustment, Mahindra continues to adapt its pricing strategy to maintain a strong position in the competitive SUV market.
