Rajasthan Subordinate & Ministerial Services Selection Board has released notification inviting online applications for multiple posts of Junior Assistant and Lower Division Clerk (Grade II).
According to the notification, eligible candidates will be able to register for the 4197 vacancies, starting February 20, 2024. The last date to register on the official website- rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in, is March 20, 2024.
The notification announces a total of 3552 vacancies for Junior Assistant and 645 vacancies for Lower Division Grade 2 posts in the RSMSSB Junior Assistant and LDC Vacancy 2024.These vacancies are distributed between Scheduled and Non-Scheduled areas. The selection process for RSMSSB Junior Assistant and LDC Recruitment 2024 involves a written test, followed by document verification and a medical examination. Candidates can find more details about the selection process on the official website.
The notice clarifies that candidates selected for Clerk Grade-II posts in Government Secretariat, Rajasthan Public Service Commission, and Junior Assistant positions in subordinate departments/offices of the State Government through the Administrative Reforms Department will be allotted based on merit and priority. Therefore, applicants are required to indicate their department preferences and post code numbers during online application submission. Otherwise, departments will be allocated based on these preferences. Selected candidates will be provided to the Administrative Reforms Department for further allotment.
Eligibility and qualification requirements
To be eligible for the position, candidates must meet the specific educational criteria:

  • Completion of Senior Secondary from a recognised Board or its equivalent examination.
  • Attainment of an “O” or Higher Level certificate course conducted by DOEACC under the control of the Department of Electronics, Government of India, or completion of a certificate course on computer concept by NIELIT, New Delhi, or a certificate in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)/Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) organised under National/State Council or Vocational Training Scheme.
  • Possession of a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Computer Science/Computer Application from an institution established by law in India or recognised by the Government, or completion of Senior Secondary Certificate from a recognised Board of Secondary Education in the Country with Computer Science/Computer Application as one of the subjects, or Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a polytechnic institution recognised by the Government, or completion of the Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RSCIT) conducted by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota under the control of Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited, or any equivalent or higher qualification recognised by the Government.
  • Proficiency in working in Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of the culture of Rajasthan.

Additionally, candidates in their final year of the qualifying course are also eligible to apply provided they meet the educational requirements for the post.
Examination pattern for Rajasthan LDC, JA recruitment 2024
The examination scheme for clerical grade/junior assistant positions is divided into two phases. Phase I consists of two question papers: General Knowledge, Daily Science, and Mathematics; and General Hindi and English. Each paper is three hours long and worth 100 points. Phase II consists of 10-minute computer typing tests in Hindi and English, as well as a speed and proficiency test. Candidates with disabilities will receive the average marks from Phase I.
