AFCAT 1 2024: The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is has commenced today. The exam will be held over a period of three days starting today, February 16 till February 18, 2024.
The duration of the exam is 2 hours, and will be held in two shifts for all the three days. The examination timings are as follows-

Exam day guidelines
The AFCAT 2024 exam admit card is available for download.The examination authority has prescribed AFCAT exam day guidelines to go with the admit card. The exam day guidelines include important information about the exam, such as exam timings, dress code, and items prohibited inside the exam centre.

  • Candidates must report to the exam centre in batches starting from 8 AM for the first shift and 1 PM for the second shift, following the time slot specified in the admit card; any request for changing the exam centre or date will not be entertained.

  • Before proceeding to the exam centre, candidates are required to place only their thumb impression on the admit card in advance, with signatures to be endorsed in front of the invigilator(s).

  • Upon arrival at the AFCAT exam centre, candidates must adhere to the reporting time for frisking, verification process, biometrics, and inspection of documents such as the admit card, ID proof, photograph, and signature; it’s advisable to familiarize themselves with the exam centre’s location beforehand and ensure punctual reporting.

  • Candidates need to bring the following items to the AFCAT exam centre: the AFCAT admit card, Aadhaar Card, another valid photo identity card (such as PAN card, passport, etc.), two passport size colour photographs, and a blue or black ballpoint pen for signing on the attendance sheet and rough work.

  • Prohibited items inside the exam centre premises include Bluetooth devices, calculators, electronic gadgets, communication devices, personal items like watches, jewelry, bags, and eatables, as well as stationery items and other materials not permitted.

  • Regarding the dress code, candidates should wear slippers/sandals with flat heels, avoiding closed footwear like shoes, and clothes with large buttons are not permitted; candidates wearing attire for religious purposes will undergo thorough frisking.

  • During the verification process, candidates are required to place the thumb impression on the admit card in advance, before proceeding to the examination centre and to sign on the same in front of the invigilators; their colour photograph will also be taken during this process.

  • Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam hall after completing AFCAT/EKT, and for rough work, A4 size sheets will be kept at each candidate’s desk with additional sheets available upon request, and candidates are required to write their name and particulars on the rough sheets and drop them in the drop box or hand them over to the staff before leaving the exam hall.
