Storage and Reliability:
The disc volumes that make up the cluster volume’s failures are automatically found by Aurora. A disc volume section is promptly repaired by Aurora when it fails. The information in the other volumes that make up the cluster volume is used by Aurora to verify that the data in the repaired segment is up to date when it repairs the disc segment.
