The students have been advised to arrive at their respective examination centers by 10 AM as the exams are scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM.
As per the date sheet, CBSE Class 10 exams will end on March 13 while CBSE Class 12 exams will conclude on April 2, 2024.
In the CBSE Board Exams 2024, over 39 lakh students from 26 countries, both in India and abroad, are expected to appear in the examination. Among them, 5,80,192 students will take the board exams, with 877 examination centers set up across Delhi.
In view of potential traffic congestion, especially considering the ongoing farmers’ protest, students in Delhi-NCR are advised to depart for their examination centers well in advance to minimise any possible delays to reach the exam venue.
“Since the examination starts at 10:30 AM, all students were instructed to reach their examination center on or before 10.00 AM. Due to the prevailing situation in Delhi, it is expected that there will be traffic related issues which may cause delay in reaching the examination centre. Therefore, all students are advised to leave their homes early so that they can reach on time as per the instructions issued by CBSE. It is advisable to use metro services to reach the examination centres, which are running smoothly,” reads the official notice released.

The notice further said that students will only be granted entry into the examination center if they arrive by 10:00 AM; latecomers will not be permitted. Schools are urged to assist and provide guidance to both parents and students. It is reiterated that students should visit their respective examination centers well in advance, plan their journey, and ensure they reach on or before the scheduled time on all examination days.
