The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII Pune) has opened up registration for the FTII JET 2024. If you’re interested in joining FTII Pune or the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata, you can apply for the FTII Joint Entrance Test (JET 2024) on their official website at applyadmission.net/JET23-24.
According to the timetable, the application period for FTII JET 2024 will end on March 17th.The entrance exam is scheduled for either April 6th or 7th, and you can expect the FTII JET 2024 admit card to be released on March 27th.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants seeking admission to most courses at FTII and SRFTI, excluding the 3-year PG Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design and the 3-year UG Certificate coursesin Animation and Visual Effects Design, need to hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any field.
Those applying for the 3-year PG Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design should possess a bachelor’s degree in applied arts, architecture, painting, sculpture, interior design, or related fields in fine arts or its equivalent. As for candidates aiming for admission into the 3-year UG Certificate course in Animation and Visual Effects Design, they need to have passed the Class 12 board exam from a recognized board or hold a diploma of at least 2 years after completing Class 10.
How to apply for FTII JET 2024?
Step1. Visit the official website at ftii.ac.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, go to the application section and click the ‘Registration’ button.
Step 3. Fill out the registration form and complete the application process
Step 4. Upload the necessary documents and proceed to pay the fees
Step 5. Download and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference

Registration fee
The registration fee for a single course is Rs 2,000. However, female candidates and individuals from SC, ST, and PwD categories will only need to pay Rs 600. If applying for two courses, the fee is Rs 3,000, and for three courses, it’s Rs 4,000. For female candidates and those from SC, ST, and PwD categories, the registration fee for two courses is Rs 900, and for three courses, it’s Rs 1200.
Exam Pattern
The Written Test will be of 3 hours for 100 marks, as per details below.
Paper I:
Part A: Multiple Choice Questions (Single Answer type): 20 marks [on OMR sheet]
Part B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQs): 20 marks [on OMR sheet]
Paper II:
Descriptive Answer Questions: 60 marks.
