WhatsApp, which is part of Meta, is working on a feature that app dialer that will allow users to make calls directly from the app.
The report says that users will have the option to add a phone number to an existing contact card or save it to the address book as a new contact after entering the number.
WABetaInfo also said that users will not need to add contacts to their address book to make calls from the app. Lastly, the report mentions that users will get a new floating action button within the calls tab that will enable access to the in-app dialer. Finally, users will also have the ability to send instant messages to a phone number they initially planned to dial but decided to message instead
According to the report, the feature will be made available to more people in the coming days after being installed by a select group of beta testers who have downloaded the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store.
