An investment plan supported by the government, the National Pension System (NPS) offers pension benefits to senior Indian citizens. Under the auspices of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), it guarantees people a safe retirement.
It is now required to link your Aadhaar number to an NPS account in order to use several services. The central data store made possible by this connectivity makes it easy for people to get their pensions when they need them. Additionally, it aids in the prevention of fraudulent activity.
The Government of India has mandated integrating Aadhaar card details with pension accounts under NPS, among other plans, with personal documents in an effort to combat forgeries.
How to Connect an NPS Account Online to Aadhaar:
Step 1: Go to https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/NationalPensionSystem.html to access the NSDL e-NPS portal.
Step 2: Click the menu and choose ‘Registration’.
Step 3: Click the ‘Generate OTP’ button after entering your Aadhaar number in the appropriate section.
