Following the recent launch of its flagship Reno 12 series in India, Oppo is now preparing to introduce its K series of smartphones to the Indian market. The Oppo K12x 5G, the inaugural smartphone in this series, has been featured on a Flipkart microsite labeled “Flipkart Unique,” indicating its exclusive availability on the platform. Oppo has announced that the K12x 5G will launch on July 29, likely via an online event.
The Oppo K12x 5G boasts military-grade durability, designed to withstand damage from all angles. Its internal components are cushioned by drop-resistant materials modeled after sponge structures. The smartphone meets the MIL-STD-810H military standard for durability, and its display is protected by double-reinforced Panda Glass. Additionally, an air cushion armor case will be included for extra protection.
The K12x 5G is sleek, measuring just 7.68mm at its thinnest point and weighing 186g. It will be available in Breeze Blue and Midnight Violet, featuring a matte-textured frame for improved grip. Oppo has confirmed that the device will be powered by a robust 5,100mAh battery.
While it’s unclear if the Indian version of the Oppo K12x 5G will be identical to the one released in China, a look at the Chinese model offers some insight. The Oppo K12x features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080, a peak brightness of 2100 nits, and a typical brightness of 1200 nits. The display supports a refresh rate of either 60Hz or 120Hz and remains responsive even with damp fingers.
