WhatsApp has just rolled out an update that contains really cool features that enrich the common user experience. In fact, one of these lesser-known but highly impactful features is Low-Light Mode for video calls.
What is Low-Light Mode?
Low-Light Mode is self-explanatory, and as the name goes, it brightens up your video when taken under low lighting conditions. A very much better brightness feature that makes your face more vibrant and guarantees the clarity of your face in low lighting conditions.
How to Access Low-Light Mode on WhatsApp
Activating Low-Light Mode is a simple process. Follow these steps to enable it during your video calls:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Make a video call.
- Expand your video feed to full screen.
- Tap the ‘Bulb’ icon located at the top right corner to enable Low-Light Mode. You can toggle it off if you wish to disable it.
Important Information
- Availability: Low-Light Mode is accessible on both iOS and Android versions of WhatsApp. However, it is not available on the Windows app. Users on Windows can manually increase brightness levels.
- Temporary Setting: The feature must be activated for each individual call, as there is currently no option to keep it enabled permanently.
