The ‘Silence Unknown Callers’ feature on WhatsApp, a new privacy option, was just announced by Mark Zuckerberg, the chief executive officer of Meta. The new feature’s objective is to provide users with more control over incoming calls. It will assist in automatically deleting spam and incoming calls from unauthorised parties for improved protection.
Feature to Silence Unknown Callers
Mark Zuckerberg wrote on Facebook, “You may now automatically silence incoming calls on WhatsApp from unknown contacts for even more privacy and control.”
According to WhatsApp, the “Silence Unknown Callers” feature will increase users’ privacy and allow them more control over incoming calls. These calls won’t ring on their phones, but if they are essential, they will appear on the caller list.
Users must make sure that WhatsApp is up to date on their phone or that they have downloaded the most recent version from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
