For a battery size of 5,000 mAh, a full charge would be accomplished in about 50-60 minutes.
Key Factors that Influence the Charging Speed
The charging speed can depend on other conditions too, like the variant of the phone model and the kind of adapter and cable used. Most entry and mid-range Samsung phones support 25-watt fast charging, while flagship models like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and S23 Ultra usually have Super Fast Charging 2.0 at 45 watts.
Limitation of Charging Mode
There are scenarios where a Samsung Galaxy charges at 15 watts instead of those higher speeds.
- Adapter or Cable Not Compatible: If the user is not using any adapter and cable that supports charging at the speed of 25 watts or 45 watts, then the 15-watt charging speed will be indicated by a green circle and a single lightning bolt.
- Lock the Fast Charging Option: Fast charging is enabled by default, but tapping in from settings can turn it off. To determine whether fast charging is on, tap on Settings > Battery > Charging Settings > Fast Charging (on).
