WhatsApp Update:  Channels List Will Soon Get Several New Changes On Android

Popular messaging service WhatsApp regularly puts new features to the test for its users. The business is currently working on a better channel list for smartphone consumers. The feature was observed under development in the Android beta “2.24.9.34” version, according to WABetaInfo. Beta testers will not be receiving it.

The company is reportedly working on a number of additional changes to improve the channel list. The first modification is a new entrance point where users can explore and establish new channels using the “Create channel” feature. Additionally, the business is attempting to include a validated badge in the list of channels. The app’s current version does not support this.

In order to help customers follow and find new channels, the business is also thinking about redesigning the recommended channels area that appears beneath the channel lists. In order to pin, mute, or mark updates as read, users will also be able to select multiple channels simultaneously using the under-development option.

It is expected that these UI adjustments would enhance the app’s user experience and increase channel engagement. Users will be able to better manage their channels by controlling multiple channel notifications, marking multiple updates as read, and pinning them in the Updates tab thanks to the bulk select option in the overflow menu.

The verified badge enables users to access the app’s list of genuine channels, which could otherwise be difficult to find due to similar names and profile pictures. In a related development, the business is attempting to incorporate a “favorites” section into the chat list.
