CBSE Board Results 2024: Class 12 Records 87.98% Pass Percentage, While Class 10 Secures 93.60%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results for the year 2024. The results were announced on May 13, and this year, the pass percentage for Class 12 is 87.98%, while Class 10 achieved a pass percentage of 93.60%. The CBSE board exams were conducted from February 15 to March 13 for Class 10 and from February 15 to April 2 for Class 12. The exams took place in a single shift, from 10:30 am to 01:30 pm, on all days.

A total of 39 lakh students from around 26 different countries appeared for the CBSE board exams this year. In the national capital alone, 5.80 lakh students participated in the exams, which were conducted across 877 examination centers. The CBSE has decided to discontinue the tradition of announcing merit lists for the top-performing students in both Class 10 and 12 examinations, aiming to reduce unhealthy competition among students.

The overall pass percentage of 93.60% in the CBSE Class 10 results reflects a successful performance by a large majority of students. This suggests a good grasp of the academic curriculum and a commendable effort by the students.
