WhatsApp update: Users may now use one account across four devices; here’s how.
WhatsApp Web and desktop users can access a single account from multiple devices. Meta has now published an upgrade that allows users to use one WhatsApp account on up to four smartphones. Be aware that the multi-device capability has been planned for some time and has now been made available to stable WhatsApp users.
Each linked device (up to four devices can be linked) will function independently, and the independent devices will continue to receive messages even if the central device’s network connection is lost. Keep in mind that WhatsApp will log out of all the companion devices automatically if the primary smartphone is dormant for an extended period of time. Four more gadgets may be a mix of four PCs and smartphones, or four smartphones.
Every linked device (up to four devices can be linked) works separately, and the separate devices continue to receive messages even if the network connection to the central device is lost. Keep in mind that if the primary smartphone is inactive for a long time, WhatsApp will automatically log out of all associated devices. Four extra devices might be a combination of four PCs and four smartphones, or four smartphones.
There are many ways of doing this, and Meta is working to provide more choices for integrating partner devices. Currently, the phone number must be entered on the backup phone before entering the OTP on the primary smartphone. A second device can be added by scanning the code on the primary device.
