Meet Muskan Agrawal, a student from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una, who has made history by securing an unbelievable job offer of Rs 60 lakh per annum through the job search platform LinkedIn. Hailing from Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, Muskan completed her BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIIT Una.
Muskan’s Agrawal remarkable journey towards achieving this near-impossible feat began when she won the title of ‘Top Woman Coder’ and a prize of Rs 1.5 lakh at the prestigious TechGig Geek Goddess competition in 2022. Competing against 69,000 women coders, Muskan emerged victorious by showcasing her exceptional programming skills during the four-hour coding challenge.

Geek Goddess, an annual coding competition exclusively for women, was founded by TechGig, India’s largest technology community. The competition serves as a platform to bring together exceptionally talented female engineers and top technology firms, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their inventions and coding capabilities on a national level.
In 2021, Muskan worked on various open-source projects while collaborating with the Girlscript Foundation. Her dedication to learning and growth led to her selection as one of the top 40 women for LinkedIn’s mentorship program. Through this program, Muskan received valuable one-on-one guidance from professionals at LinkedIn, further enhancing her skills.
However, Muskan Agrawal’s most significant achievement came in July 2023 when she shattered all records by receiving a job offer of Rs 60 lakhs from LinkedIn. She joined the company as a software development engineer, marking a new milestone in her career.
It is worth mentioning that Muskan Agrawal is not the only success story from IIIT Una. In the previous year, another student from the institute secured an annual package of Rs 47 lakhs, and around 86% of the trainees from the 2019-23 batch secured placements in 31 different companies. Muskan’s peer at IIIT Una also managed to secure a job offer of Rs 50 lakhs, further highlighting the institute’s commitment to nurturing exceptional talent.
