- Rule for Deactivating SIM Cards: Once mass distribution is stopped, deactivated SIM cards cannot be reactivated or transferred to another person until a ninety-day period has passed.
- Penalties: SIM card sellers who do not register by November 30th may be punished with fines of up to Rs. 10 lakh in addition to jail time.
